How to Request Medication

Repeat Prescriptions

There are many ways to order your repeat prescription:

  1. You can request a repeat prescription online via My Health Online.
  2. You can drop your prescription request off at the surgery by using the prescription box at the GP Practice.
  3. You can sign up for repeat prescribing with your local pharmacy.
  4. By post, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your repeat prescription and the items you need clearly ticked.

Please allow 48 hours for your repeat prescription request to be processed. It may be necessary for patients to allow more than 48 hours if their pharmacy collects their monthly prescription. In this instance please speak to your local pharmacy for advice.

Acute Medication

Acute medication items are those that are only used for a short time and usually prescribed during an appointment with a doctor. Please print and complete the Acute medication request form for items which are not on your repeat prescription slip and return to the surgery.

Please let the receptionist or your pharmacist know if you have stopped taking any of your medication.

Please avoid over-ordering medication to prevent waste.
